Edward E. Leslie, also known as, Dad, PopPop, Uncle Eddie, Mag, blessed with 96 years of Glenmoore PA, formerly of Galeton was called home to the Lord on November 30, 2024.
Born on April 24, 1928, in Coatesville, he was the son of Harry S. and Emma Marshall Osborne Leslie. He was employed by Producers Pride, Inc. in Coatesville for 32 years, retiring in 1976. Moving to Galeton, he started Leslie’s Septic Service, which he operated until 1995 and was an active member of the Rotary Club. Ed was a member of West Pike Baptist Church and enjoyed snowmobiling and was on the board for the snowmobiler’s association. He moved to New Holland in 2020 to be near family. Surviving are: two daughters, Donna (William T.) Lease and Judy Profeto; three grandchildren, Michelle (Andy) Smith, Chad (Jennifer) Lease, and James (Nicole) Profeto; great-grandchildren, Griffin Smith, Brandon Profeto, Thomas Silvester, Trevor Lease, River Lease, Sawyer Lease; a step-daughter, Sandra Bowman; 2 step-granddaughters, 3 step-great grandchildren; a sister, Isabelle Urbine; four brothers, Harry T. Leslie, Franklin Leslie, Thomas Leslie and Raymond Leslie; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Ruth J. Seeds Leslie; his second wife, B. Jean Bowman Leslie; a granddaughter, Nicole Silvester; a step-son, Gary L. Bowman; five sisters, Pauline, Olive May, Marion, Elizabeth, and Sara Jane; and five brothers, James, Earl “Jackson”, Paul, Vernon, and Herbert.
Funeral service will be held at Wagontown Union Chapel, 469 W. Kings Hwy. Coatesville, PA on Monday December 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM with a time of visitation at the church from 9:00 AM till the time of the service with Pastor Tim Crans. Committal service and burial will follow at First Baptist Church Cemetery, Gap, PA. Since Ed was a huge Phillies fan, please wear your Phillies clothing to his service!
